The brand-new METRONET Thornlie-Cockburn Line is opening soon – and you could be one of the first to ride it!
We’re giving away 50 x double passes for a first train ride on the new line on Sunday 8 June – as part of Link Up, Line Up – a free, community event to celebrate this milestone.
This is your chance to experience Perth’s first east-west line connection that will enable travel directly between the Mandurah and Armadale Lines – linking up to Optus Stadium and beyond.
How to enter
Complete the quick entry form and tell us in 25 words or less why you want to be one of the first to ride the Thornlie-Cockburn Line.

- Entries open: 9:00am (AWST) on 20 May 2025
- Entries close: 9:00pm (AWST) on 25 May 2025
- Winners are notified after 26 May 2025 via email
- The first train rides on Sunday, 8 June 2025

Terms and Conditions
- The competition runs from 9:00am (AWST) on 20 May to 9:00pm (AWST) on 25 May 2025.
- This competition is open to all residents of Western Australia.
- Participants must be 18 years and above to enter the competition.
- Only one entry is allowed per person; any duplicate entries will be removed from the competition.
- The winners will be notified via email after 26 May 2025.
- Winners are allowed to bring up to one guest on the train ride - ensure your guest's details are submitted when entering.
- Winners must arrange their own transport to Perth Stadium Station on Sunday 8 June 2025. Bus and train services will not be operating to the station prior to the first train ride.
- Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
- Entry into the competition implies full acceptance of all conditions of entry.
All entries become the property of METRONET and may be entered into a database for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes
